  Is there a plugin I can add which automatically adds adverts to my site, which can then potentially bring in revenue via clicks?

  We aren’t aware of any plugins that automatically add advertisements to your site as you need to be signed up for an advertising program first. Also, you will need to upgrade to the WordPress.com Business plan or higher to use plugins on your WordPress.com site. In your current plan (WordPress.com Premium), you can enable WordAds on your site to start earning revenues.
