A post suddenly appeared in my sidebar!
-
All of a sudden, a post I had already published (and had been where it should be) ended up in the sidebar after I published another post. I am not sure why it is there, nor do I know how to get it back where it belongs! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Lori

Normally that kind of error appears when you’ve added some bad code to your blog. Have you pasted in anything from another source, like copied and pasted from a website?
-
No. The only thing I added were some photos from my computer. It is just odd that it was where it belonged and then got moved there somehow.
-
Wow that is the first time I seen something like that… Have you pasted your articles from MS Word ?

Can I unpost it (I don’t know if that is a word) and then re-post it? I admit I know just enough about WordPress to make me dangerous! :-)

Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes.”
Now, open the post where you made when this problem appeared, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “update post.” Check your blog and if it is back to normal, you are golden. If not, open the next post and do the same thing till it goes back to normal.

You’re welcome, and that change at settings > writing will keep that from happening in the future.
