A potential e-mail follower wants me to make him a follower – how can I do that?

  I have a potential e-mail follower. He hasn’t been able to subscribe to the blog; so he’s given me his e-mail address and asked me to add him to my list of followers. How do I make him a subscriber, so that he doesn’t have to try to subscribe any more?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you log out of your WordPress.com account (or visit the site in a browser that you are not logged in on) you should see an “follow” tab in the lower right hand corner where you (or he) could enter the email address.

  Email subscribers are an “opt in” service – after you enter their email address they will receive a confirming email, they need to click on the link in the email to complete the subscription.

  That is to prevent someone from signing you up for a subscription you don’t want
