A prob uploading pictures!
-
I dont know why the pictures I try to upload don’t
appear on the post..that happens when I write text on them..
Any clue?? :(
-
We need a lot more info than that. What type of pictures are you trying to upload? Are you using the flash uploader or the browser one? What browser are you using?
If you search the forums, you might be able to find your answer.

Thanks vivan for replying I’m using firefox..the pictures are Gif
Sorry I’m not really into all this…I didnt know what info you would need to know -
Well, I don’t see any problems on the blog linked in your username. Again, you really have to be specific – where is the post where the picture won’t upload? I have no idea what “that happens when I write text on them” means.
-
That happenss when I previewed the post, the picture was not there so I didnt publish it.
What I mean by text is the watermark on my picture. it was working just fine..now I can
send pictures but once they have a watermark on them they dont appear.
-
Have you tried putting the watermark on before you upload the picture? (How, exactly, are you trying to watermark it?)
-
-
Can you provide a specific example image or post please? We really can’t help otherwise.

Just made a post entitled Oops..so the picture is not there..it’s Gif 600 Kb
-
I tried to resize it and make it smaller but still doesnt work unless there is no watermark on it then it’s ok but I need to have a watermark on it :(
-
The image on that post shows up for me in Safari. It doesn’t with FireFox. If I load the image directly with Firefox, I get this:
The image “http://andaluss.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/dsc005931.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
I think this happens if you save an image with CMYK encoding instead of RGB. FireFox doesn’t like it, IE probably doesn’t either.
-
Actually CMYK isn’t the problem in this case (though that will cause the same error). It looks like you’ve saved the image in Photoshop format, but changed the extension to .gif. It’s not a gif image, and most web browsers don’t support Photoshop image formats. You need to use Save For Web. PNG or JPEG is best for photographs.
-
Hmmm that’s strange..but anyway I’ll try what you said. Thanks a lot for your time and help :)
Very much appreciated!
