A problem with pages

Hi guys I’ve been operating my first blog at wordpress for a little while now and I love what I’ve been able to do with it. I update pretty regularly and having a great time. I’m starting to get pretty serious about it and I want to expand my blog to incorporate more content with some new pages.
My problem is that I’m not sure how to get the right kind of page format. What I want is to have another page that works like my home page. I want my other pages to be able to contain multiple posts just like my home page does.
I’ve looked through pretty much all the help videos and tutorials and none of them seem to really help. Perhaps I’m just not understanding though.
Can anyone tell me how to make my other pages house multiple posts?

Pages are static. They sit outside of the blog structure and you cannot post to multiple pages in any blog. There is only one main page for posts in a blog and all posts will show on the main blog page. There is no way to exclude posts from the one main posts (blog) page.
What’s critical is:
(1) a clear comprehension of the differences between pages and posts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
(2) a clear comprehension of the fact that there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page. But we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page. We organize posts by assigning categories to them. When you delete the Hello World plaeholder post an error message “(not found-Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help)” appears. That will disappear as soon as you publish a post, not a page. -
