You cannot add an external theme to a WordPress.com blog. Get your money back. You can ONLY use themes on your dashboard themes page.
-
The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
upload any third party themes,
create child themes,
create our own themes,
edit templates,
create own own layouts,
or use stylesheets from other themes.Relevant support docs:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/You cannot upload any third party themes into a WordPress.COM hosted blog so be clear on that. There is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can create themes, upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database, etc. If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. Alright. I am not really a web developer. I kind of nderstand how this move if I get the layout. But it was not as desribed.
Well, maybe I am to hursh with the word, but isn’t this missleading the users?

O man, if I read Ftp access and all the shortcuts I have no clue what is that. I believe there are many bloggers out there not having a web developing knowledge and as i have read thee are many having same issue..
anyaway, we always figure out the way..this is how it goes:) -
There are two “versions” of WordPress: WordPress.COM & WordPress.ORG
See the differences: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/On WordPress.com (i.e. your blog http://surfhostelportugal.com/) the users can’t install/use external themes.
The users (on WordPress.com, again) only can use the themes availables here:
https://theme.wordpress.com/Do you understand now?

Good good, thanks!
But the link you send me have also the theme Purpose. Therefore, I can use only themes for free there ?
So th prremium themes is also optional even tho they don’t benefit you, they are onyl for if you have a host or something? -
Oh no! I think that you mean this theme https://wordpress.com/themes/purpose and it is a WordPress.COM version of the theme. I apologize humbly. I am sorry. :(

If you bought the theme from the WordPress.com THEMES page, you can use it on that blog. That’s not what you said you did. If you bought it from somewhere else, you cannot use it.
If you bought it from the themes page, follow the directions on the theme demo page, and if you have further questions, post in the Themes forum.
