A question about domain transfer versus domain mapping

  If I transfer my domain name to wordpress, does the domain name change from sharinggodsevidence.com to sharinggodsevidence.wordpress.com?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi @peterboggs5706 ,

  If you transfer your domain to WordPress, you keep your current domain as it is. Transferring a domain just means the management processes are carried out by a new entity – in this case, WordPress.com. The “management” I am talking about here includes billing and renewing, keeping contact information up-to-date, etc.

  To transfer a domain here, you will need to upgrade your plan to a paid plan. The *.wordpress.com suffix is added to sites made using a free plan.
