A question about pinging
-
I’ve had this blog for awhile. I have two problems. The first is I can never get my most recent post to post on top without stickying it. I know this is not suppose to be a problem except once in awhile and I have even resorted to deleting posts trying to get it to automatically post my most recent post on top. I am using posts…. not pages and my blog is http://rainbowseekerantiques.wordpress.com
My second problem is that recently when I go to ping my blog around it throws up a notice that I have already pinged…which I did not. And I am not checking the google ping on the page I use to ping which is:
http://pingomatic.com/ Has something changed lately? Is WordPress pinging all blogspots automatically now? I understood they only submitted to google….but no matter what I check on the pingomatic page it says it was done already. I just want to know where I can find where we are being submitted to please…..The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

On the sticky post thing, open all the posts on your front page – and you might have to go even further – and “unstick” all the ones that are sticky posts. I suspect that you have more than one which can cause this to happen. I just looked and all three on your main page are sticky posts. Unstick all of them.

On the pinging, each time you publish a post, wordpress automatically pings through pingomatic which then hits all the major search engines and such. They have done that for a long time. I’ve been here for a year, and they have been doing it longer than that.

Thanks….I unstickyed and they seem to be staying in place. On the pigomatic thing…..never got the message when I pinged until this year….started with this years blogs. I had 9 earlier posts from last year I deleted…Oh well. I sincerely thank you for your help.
