A question about stats, hopefully not redundant

At present, WordPress doesn’t support he javascript versions of Sitemeter and other external hit counters, meaning we can’t see referring URLs. At the same time, WordPress’s own stats offer referring URL information in terms of numbers of visitors, but does not break this info down into individual visitors.
I am wondering if there might be anything in the works to offer people info on individual visitors. This would obviate he need for other proprietary hit counters. I am in no way complaining as I think what WordPress offers for free is nothing short of spectacular. I would be willing to pay for an enhanced stats profile, and I am sure many others would as well.

People have been asking for that for quite sometime, and it has never come up. Only staff would know the answer to that question. I suggest you contact them directly and ask: http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ .
