A reader accidentally checked to receive notification on new comments to post

  I enabled following comments on my blog for users a long time ago. A user accidentally checked the checkbox in a blog entry when leaving a comment and is now getting emails every time someone else leaves a comment. I unchecked the checkbox, but will this fix it for the user as well? I would hate them to receive more unwanted comments. If not, is there a way to disable this for them? Thanks.

  You cannot do this for the follower they must act to unsubscribe.
  1. Have they tried clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the emails received?
  2. Have they tried visiting the post they subscribed to receive comments from and clicking that same button again to unsubscribe?

  Hi there, I will suggest that to the reader. They didn’t give me any info other than they accidentally checked the checkbox and is now receiving a lot of emails. Thank you! I tried searching for an answer and couldn’t find one before I posted here. This helps out a lot.
