A reader is unable to comment

    Guest unable to comment

    One of our readers in Australia (on moderation) is unable to comment. Here is his description of the problem. I asked him for a screen shot of the process:

    “There is not much time to capture a screen shot, it literally happens in seconds. All that happens is that After I type my comment and click ‘post comment’ it then says ‘posting comment’ after a second it updates the page to the top. I scroll down and its not there.”

    He believes we have “blocked” him. We have not blocked or black-listed him. He seems to be the only one so far — and he has tried with several browsers and computers.

    We will appreciate your help.

    Hi there,

    In most cases wherein users are unable to comment on a blog we have to refer them to this page:

    Contact Us

    Here they will just need to write a quick description of what is going wrong. A form will appear and they can give details. If they can provide the exact blog (and even post) that they are attempting to post on and can’t, then the folks at akismet should be able to help out!
