A reader is unable to subscribe to my site,

  I use the Jetpack subscription widget. A reader reports that when he tries to subscribe to my site, he gets this message: There was an error when subscribing, please try again. I’ve tried to subscribe for him using the subscribe box but I get the same message. Meanwhile, other readers are subscribing successfully. Why is this happening?
