A Really Really Good Hex Code Color Site
-
As I was blundering about trying to fix five small things on an adopted theme and using color to identify areas so I wouldn’t actually have to learn the names for places in CSS, I found this terrific site that gives a huge color spectrum–more than 216 colors for sure, maybe thousands–and the corresponding hex code. It will also generate a color scheme for you, once you click on a color–based upon what formula, I don’t know, but it’s handy.

The blogger had posted it in another thread – at least this is the one I think they are talking about.

Seconding Colour Lovers. It doesn’t just give you html codes, it has a huge bank of stored colours and colour palettes that make it easy to give your blog a really nice look. Plus it’s lots of fun.

And this site you can feed the URL of a blog or website where you like the colors, and it will show you (most of) the colors that are being used on that particular site.

Timethief has some good information on color tools as well over at http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/category/color-tools/ .

Oh, Mark… I never knew colourlovers until you posted the site’s link. Now I’m addicted to it, I need to hire a babysitter.
