Hi there.
The best way to map a domain to a WordPress.com blog is to set your domain’s name servers to the following values:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
However, if your registrar requires that you create A records, please note that our IPs change over time. Because of this, your domain might stop working at some point in the future. If that happens, please get in touch with us to find out the most current IPs and then update your A records, accordingly.
If you still want to map your domain using A records, please be sure to create two records using these IP addresses:
192.0.78.25
192.0.78.24
Thanks!

Well, you have to map the domain to WordPress.com as well:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
In order to do that, you must purchase a domain mapping subscription. Our support page above provides the instructions to get that set up.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!

I tried that, but I’m getting this message:

I’m guessing it’s because it’s not a domain you support.
We do, but I have to add it from my end.
I was able to map barefootwanderlu.st for you. You’ll still need to do a few things:
1) Purchase the subscription here by renewing:
https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades2) If you haven’t done so already, point the domain to our name servers:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com3) After giving that a few hours to take effect, set the domain as primary under https://wordpress.com/my-domains
Let us know if you need more help!
