A Record Error Mapping Domain Name Error

    “a record” error – i have a formerly registered domain name “www.duanecramer.com”
I changed the CNAME record but could not change the “A” record to point to wordpress.com’s servers. I’m confused by this error message, when I type in the URL “www.duanecramer.com” -> redirects to wordpress.com which it should, but this is the error, “Validating http://www.duanecramer.com
    Incorrect A Record
The A Record for duanecramer.com is set to a WordPress.com nameserver. Instead, you should remove all nameservers for your domain and specify the WordPress.com nameservers below to map your domain name to a WordPress.com blog. For instructions and some important warnings before making such a change, please see this document.

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
There is information on how to set up domain mapping in our support documentation. If you need help after that, please contact our support team.”

bluehost does not allow me to place / add more than 1 CNAME record in its control panel. it is better if you call me at 416 879 4470.

Only allows forwarding of CNAME record by bluehost. can you help? i’m very confused

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I see domain mapping as being set up for duanecramercreative.com to point to http://duanecramercreative.wordpress.com/. But I am not seeing anything set up for duanecramer.com. duanecramer.com seems to be registered with networksolutions.com and has nameservers pointing to bluehost.
