  I purchased my domain through wordpress and am wanting to do hosting through go daddy. Go daddy is telling me I need to update the a record. Have the new IP address, but every time I enter it it gives me an error. Can someone tell me exactly what I need to enter? I tried pointing wordpress to go daddy by updating the name servers but it’s still not working. I’m so confused!

  Thank you! The IP address is 184.168.46.71 and the name servers should be 45.domaincontrol.com and 46.domaincontrol.com

  It looks like you were almost there… bravo! :)

  You just needed to delete the other IP address listed. Now it should be all set, but you will need to wait up to 72 hours for the DNS/domain records to propagate and show your site at the new hosting.
