  What is the A record or IP address for philwaltersmusic.wordpress.com?

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com sites don’t have unique, static IPs, but sites across WordPress.com share a group of IP addresses.

  Can you tell me what you’re trying to do that requires an IP address?

  Yes, We have purchased the domain through bluehost.com and they need the IP address to forward that domain to the WordPress.com website. WordPress.com said to request the IP address through “help”. And this is the only way I have to ask for that IP address.

  Wordpress said we should ask them because they sometimes change the IP addresses and we should get it straight from them.

  We recommend changing your nameservers, instead of adding A records, you should be able to do that on Bluehost. If you still prefer to use the A records, after you’ve mapped your domain, you’ll be able to reach out directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact and we’ll let you know the IP addresses you can use.
