A simple way to improve scheduling
-
I’m getting a bunch of posts ready for the future, as I post every Monday and Thursday and will be starting classes soon. I’ve been trying to keep track of when I have posts scheduled, but I’d like to do it when I’m actually posting.
To put it more clearly, there should be a graphical calendar in the scheduler. Something you can look at to determine when you have stuff scheduled already and then pick the date for the current post you’re working on. Something that looks like the Calendar Widget. It would vastly improve the scheduling experience.
Just about every scheduling field I use on line has it anymore: Travelocity (when picking flight dates), Ticket Master, etc. Every time I need to pick a date, a little calendar pops up. For me every Monday and Thursday I’ve scheduled something will be a different color, so I can pick the next date that isn’t already filled.
Just a thought.

I would love that, good idea. I also plan on scheduling many posts when I start classes again and that would make things go by faster.

I want to schedule some posts, but am not certaing what time zone the clock is in?
I am on the east coast. I noticed that the daily post count starts over around 7 or 8 pm my time, but even adding 3 hours to get to west coast time doesn’t make that midnight, the next day.
Or is it 4 hours to west coast time.
Confused. :-(

The time zone in Settings > General refers to UTC, which is the same as GMT with no daylight savings added. Simply change and save and change until it says that it matches your time zone.

the gibson,
I also love your idea, I aim to keep a long queue of posts ready in advance so that i can slot in extra topics when I’m on the move traveling, don’t have computer access or can’t get on line etc
A visual calender for planning posts would be excellent.
Thanks for bring this suggestion up :)
