"A site already exists" when in fact it does not
-
I keep trying to create a blog with a title simply containing my name (the same goes for the address) and, of course I keep getting the “it already exists” reply. I’ve googled both the name of the blog and the address name and they don’t really exist. So, what’s to do?
Thank you!

don’t use Google, it is not smart enough – just go to the site you want to register and see what you find
-
Did that too and it said that the site is no longer available or that it does not exist.
-
No longer available means just that – it was deleted by the owner or suspended for terms of service violations – and will never be available
Does not exist but not available means it might be reserved for an account that matches the name
Without knowing the names that is all the help anyone can give you

The name/title would be dalia or dalia.
The address I was going for was alisaanton.wordpress.com
-
alisaanton.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
dalia.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
dalia.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
The blog owners deleted the sites – blog names are never recycled at WordPress.COM
You will need to pick a different name or register a custom domain name and map it to a blog here (base blog name does not matter with domain mapping) – $ 18.- / year

Thank you! I thought there’d be a way for me to not register just yet since I’m just getting started. Oh well! :)

It looks like you registered your alisaanton account at WordPress.com several years ago, and you deleted the associated blog alisaanton.wordpress.com right after you created the account. As a result, that address is no longer available for a blog, but you could register a custom domain like alisaanton.com and map it to a different WordPress.com address if you’d like.
