A slightly different category page

    I would like to introduce category pages, but with one change. The front page would have one sticky post at the top AND posts with a given category (say e.g. Front). Then I could have another page (say Photo Gallery). I could post directly to Photo Gallery without this post appearing on the front page. And I could post on the front page, and later change the category to move it to the Photo Gallery page, but not also appear any longer on the front page.

    What you’ll need to do is create a page for your “Front” posts and designate that as the homepage. Then when you post a new “Photo Gallery” category post, that PG post would not appear on the page designated for “Front” category posts. You would need to have a Photo Gallery page for that designated category. You can change the Front page in Settings > Appearance: https://cloudup.com/c3uek4uhBVZ
