A solution to the Windows Live Writer problem Microsoft says they can't fix.
-
If you regularly upload large number of images into your WP.com blog using Windows Live Writer (WLW) like me, you may have come across the highly annoying problem I have described in the link below, you’ll be pleased to know I have discovered a fix. The problem only occurs if you use WLW *and* adds captions to the images, excessively long parameters are added into Styles that change the image properties.
The fix: a simple cut followed by paste strips resets image styles to WP.com’s default.

It’s a design thing.
We have been informed that this is by design because they are the corresponding codes for the image properties available in Writer’s “Picture Tools”. Also, please know that aside from manually editing the source code before publishing, we do not have another way to prevent Windows Live Writer from generating those HTML tags/codes.
