  A spammer is following my blog. WordPress Id: Holy Moly
  http://en.gravatar.com/traynorville
  If you do an internet search on http://holymolycashback.com it pops up across multiple wordpress blog sites.
  I don’t want some sleazy, unprincipled con artist following my blog and luring in my followers.
  How can I block this company and person(s)? WordPress should have a way to stop people/companies doing this.

  Hi there,

  While your blog is set to public in its privacy settings, there’s nothing to be done to stop anyone from reading or following it.

  However, if you can help stop them from participating on your site, which helps to protect your readers as you’ve mentioned. I’d recommend adding their username, website, or other identifying information to your Comment Blacklist settings:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklist

  Then any comment including those phrases will be automatically marked as spam.
