A spammer has banned my entire site from myself and others

I am not highly knowledgeble about tech. issues. I have a site that shows my artwork and have had spammers come into my site frequently. I started to ban their IP’s but today they shut down my site and I have been banned as well as everyone from viewing it. The site is janicetranejones.com. Can anyone make a suggestion as to how I can access the site to change my password etc. I cannot even open the php page to access without it saying I’m banned. I have used several IP addresses but always get the same message. Please Help Me. thanks

Well your site even throws me off – so you probably got a bit carried away with the IP banning thing. You need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG for help.
Your site is not hosted on WordPress.COM, this site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/

PS – when you get your site back up – turn on Akismet (anti-spam) and moderate your comments – then you don’t care much about the spamers.

IP banning is NOT effective. Internet service providers save money by assigning hundreds and even thousands of us into the same IP block. I clicked in and experienced the same thing auxclass did. The entire IP block I am in has been banned. This is NOT an effective way to deal with spammers. Moderating your comments and using a good spam filter is the way to go.
