a strange link to my website

    Hi, I just put in a search for my website with yahoo. I entered in the search box puertovallartarentalcondo and the first thing that came up was this https://puertovallartavacationrental.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php. When I clicked on it I got this.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <rsd version="1.0" xmlns="http://archipelago.phrasewise.com/rsd">
    - <service>
      <engineName>WordPress</engineName>
      <engineLink>http://wordpress.org/</engineLink>
      <homePageLink>http://puertovallartarentalcondo.com</homePageLink>
    - <apis>
      <api name="WordPress" blogID="1" preferred="true" apiLink="https://puertovallartavacationrental.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php" />
      <api name="Movable Type" blogID="1" preferred="false" apiLink="https://puertovallartavacationrental.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php" />
      <api name="MetaWeblog" blogID="1" preferred="false" apiLink="https://puertovallartavacationrental.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php" />
      <api name="Blogger" blogID="1" preferred="false" apiLink="https://puertovallartavacationrental.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php" />
      <api name="Atom" blogID="" preferred="false" apiLink="https://puertovallartavacationrental.wordpress.com/wp-app.php/service" />
      </apis>
      </service>
      </rsd>

    I have no idea what this is and haven’t seen it before. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    That is nothing to be worried about as every single wordpress blog hosted here or elsewhere has that file as it is a required wordpress file. Not exactly sure how it would have hit the search engines other than for their “blog search”, but it does show up 2nd in the results at least.

    Thank you for the reply. I hadn’t seen it before and so I was getting a bit worried that somebody had got into my account and changed something on my blog.
