A theme for dyslexics
-
I recently learned of a “dyslexic-friendly” font that seems to genuinely help dyslexic individuals read text. I think it would be so cool if WordPress created a “dyslexic-friendly” theme – or better yet, allowed all themes to choose this font as an option. Some details about the font can be found here: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=new-font-helps-dyslexics-read

That seems a very good idea. I just had a look at some of the letters and they are certainly easier to read. I wonder if they do numbers too, as I have more difficulty with reading numbers.

The problem is that browsers pull fonts from a person’s computer so each person visiting a site would have to have that font installed on their computer to be able to see or use that font.
Perhaps Typekit will pick up that font and then it will be available though the custom design upgrade, but other than that, I’m unaware of anyway to make that font available to the general webbing public.
