A theme like filehippo or a way to create one

    Hello,
    I’ve registered today because I need some help, some advice in what I’m trying to do. So, I would like to make a website for me and some of my friend where we can download our favorite software, we just want it to be something like http://www.filehippo.com/ and nothing “fancy”.
    What I’m interested in specificaly is how can I make WordPress show categories, and right below them the posts.
    If anyone is aware of such a theme please point me to it :) I’m considering at the moment to buy an ebook just to learn how to code a theme. But would that do ?
