How did a user comment on our blog with an account they don't own?

Ok, this is gonna sound crazy… and if you’ve never heard of anything like this, then I wouldn’t blame you for saying so. Let me explain, a user (happens to be one of our University faculty members) with the WordPress.com account “ismitje” posted two comments on the follow post:
    http://uicoursedesign.wordpress.com/2011/06/17/first-post-by-karen-thompson/

At the time he made the post he was in his home, on his computer. However, the comments are listed as having come from a WordPress.com account “phylicha”???… With a little looking through “phylicha’s” blog we can see it’s somebody from Wisconson (we’re in Idaho). Any idea on how this might be possible, other than the obvious split personality condition? If we never see this again, then it’s no biggie, but it’s just odd enough that I thought I’d mention it.

    Thanks for your time,

  • That is quite odd. The only way Bill could have been logged in as phylicha is to have used that user’s username and password. Does anybody else ever use Bill’s computer?

If this happens again it’d be best for Bill to contact us directly so that we can work out details. Thanks!
