A very different view on my sidebar

This is the blog thats having the problem: http://bestclubpenguincheatsandtips.wordpress.com/

I have 2 computers and if I go to my blog they have a different view

One of the computers are running Windows Vista and IE7
the other is running Windows XP and IE6

the one that is running Win Vista can see 2 sidebars even a big wide picture but some of the right is covered up (not a problem)
the other one Wins XP you can see the whole picture and the left sidebar and the right sidebar is at the bottom

How can I fix it so Windows XP users see the Windows Vista users view
aka how can IE6 users can see the blog in a IE7 view

I dont want to change the theme
But if i Have to who can find me a theme that look like Garland

Well, there’s not much you can do because it’s not Windows XP that is causing the problem. It’s IE6. So try downloading IE7 for Windows XP and things should be fine. Also, remove the huge image that is causing the sidebar to go to the bottom and then it should be fine in IE6 as well.

But my best piece of advice would be, start using Mozilla Firefox [the website looks perfect on it] because IE has a lot of issues which you might come across in the future.

What is the screen resolution on each of those computers? It’s likely that one has less resolution so the second sidebar is only visible when you scroll side to side.

You can’t make two different versions of a browser give identical views, but if you set the resolution the same for the two of them, it’ll probably solve the problem. You could also just make the picture, which is too wide and causing the problem, smaller. This is what I’d recommend, because a lot of your readers are going to run into this problem and only fixing the picture will fix it for them; they’re not all going to change their monitor resolution.

    @ rshmeet and raincoaster
Yeah I should delete the big picture

I’m just wondering about any theme’s simmler to Garland with only 2 columns (1 main post and 1 sidebar.

The sidebar looks just fine for me. Did you paste it from Word or something? If that’s the case, you’ll need to go into Code and delete some of the tags, because you’ve probably got some that make it too wide for you on some computers. Maybe there’s a table? You need to get rid of that. Maybe the best way to do it is copy it all, paste it into Notepad or Wordpad using “paste special” and remove formatting, then copy THAT and paste it in. Then you can add formatting. That should strip out any problem tags.
