    i blog at http://www.seekingquerencia.me. how do i get rid of a white border that has appeared on my blog photo? my most recent draft post has a border (it is largest at the bottom of the photo) and i can’t get rid of it. i cleared the cache and no change. a while back, I add a problem with this but based on help from support or the forum, I added some css code to the style sheet and it took care of the problem, until today. i am not tech literate and i do not know whether i did something wrong to cause the problem. Please help. Thanks so much, lydia

    Hi Lydia,

    I was looking at your most recent draft post and I found that you inserted an image from Polyvore:

    http://www.polyvore.com/cool_warm/set?.embedder=5011720&.svc=wordpress&id=112677603

    Please note that the image has a white border around it as seen here:

    The best way to get rid of this is to download the image, crop out the white border, and re-uploading that image to your Media > Library. Use that image and you will be set!

    Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

    Thanks Grace. It is still strange because I upload these all the time and I began having a problem with the border. Based on either advice from support or the forum, I added a CSS code to my style sheet and never had a single problem until now. Not being a techie, I thought that the CSS code would override anything else. I guess that I was wrong huh?

    Blessings, Lydia

    Hi Lydia,

    It depends. Currently the image that they used includes a white border. When it comes to cropping an image, I highly recommend using photo editing software to do it and upload that image.

    I looked through your CSS see that you already added this code:

    .hentry img {
    	border: none;
    	background: none;
    }

    Please note that gets rid of the gray border that is a part of the theme (this border is added to every image as design) – it is not apart of the actual image. So getting rid of this is easy to do since you are basically getting rid of this extra element on every image on your blog.

    But what you are currently asking for is different since it is contained within the image itself and it is occurring on only a certain number of images.

    Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
