  How do I obtain an already taken name? The site is called “The Panamanian” and the blog is abandoned. I am a newbie and had no idea you should have a niche BEFORE you start. I am from Panama as well as my entire extended family. I could write forever about Panama.
  Is this possible, to take over an abandoned blog?

  I am not interested in keeping acopelandcompany at WordPress.com. I am extremely interested in obtaining the domain ‘The Panamanian” which appears to be abandoned. Is there a way to acquire this?

  The only way to acquire an existing blog name is to contact the owner directly. Take a look, and see if you can find a contact form, or email address on their blog.

  If the current owner is willing to turn the title over to you, you can give him/her this link:
