Abandoning P2
-
I think you might want to take back P2 until the bugs are worked out. Comments load too slowly and my subscribers did not like it at all. I loved it. It was easy to use and easy to post to but the main thing is how easy is it for my viewers. I did go to the forums for this theme as was going to try and fix the problem but they are talking code to difficult for me to try and handle and it is not even working that well for them.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

P2 is not for everyone. It’s not intended as a general purpose blog theme.
Any bugs in P2 are quickly discovered and fixed, because staff members use it constantly.

I really liked it. I have macular degeneration so it made it much easier for me to comment back to folks and I thought it would promote interaction but my emails told a different story. When you say general purpose……..do you not know how much I use facebook and twitter? I was hoping to bring my audience to my blog. Hmmm?

@flowergardengirl, I don’t know anything about how you’re blogging – just wanted to point out that P2 isn’t a normal theme, and it might seem confusing if you were expecting something more conventional.

No, I knew it was going to be interactive. I’m not afraid to jump in and play. Comments were moving around on the page today–people were getting a msg that they were going to lose their content if they sent the reply–and then when they did reply….after a few seconds…..the reply would jump to the bottom of the page and then back up—and so on.
When people come to my blog..they are in a hurry. We read about several hundred garden blogs a day as a garden writers. I can’t wait as long as those P2 comments were taking to appear and then they would knock me to another page—so if that is non conventional—then I’d rather have conventional. I don’t know why you’d want that?
I’m not trying to be ugly or rude. I’m just trying to understand how these jumping comments is saving time and being unconventional? The rest of the P2 looks exactly like the theme I’ve got up right now.
I wanted to have multiple conversations going on several post. That was my goal.
