Abbreviated posts on front page

  Is there a way to abbreviate posts on the front page? Some of them are very long, and I would rather have a short intro to them on the front and have readers go to the post to read the full article.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there, yes there is for blogs on wordpress.COM: http://support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

  However, the site linked in your profile here isn’t a wordpress.com blog.
