  I have opted out of WordPress and I have possibly made a mistake. By having Wordprfess, does this mean that I must have Blue host?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Please clarify your question.

  If you mean to ask if you have to use bluehost to host your WordPress site, then the answer is no. But if you choose to use bluehost, then your WordPress site is considered as self hosted. For Self hosted WordPress site, you would have to get support from wordpress.org/support

  WordPress.com support forum is only for support on sites hosted by WordPress.com

  — If you have WordPress.org, you can choose any host that you would like to choose. If you have WordPress.com, then it doesn’t matter because you won’t be able to choose your own host, since your website will be hosted by WordPress.com.

  But, if you want to use the WordPress software, then this isn’t the place to do it, as this support forum is for free sites on WordPress.com. If you need more support, then it is best to go to WordPress.org forums.

  And as @wdn2020 mentioned, please use their link above as that has the differences between the 2 softwares. Bluehost has no connection with WordPress, but it is a host you can connect to your site using WordPress software.

  @wdn2020, thanks for your help here with this issue. I think this user was asking if she has the WordPress software (WordPress.org) does she HAVE to get Bluehost has their host for their site.
