ability to embed video from TeacherTube

  Hi,

  I am a school administrator. I know many educators use wordpress.com for their classroom blogs because of its membership and privacy options.

  The options for embedded video, namely YouTube and Google Video, are blocked by most school district filters. In order for most teachers to embed video on their blogs, it would need to come from http://www.teachertube.com, which is not blocked in schools.

  Any chance of adding this capability?

  Sounds like it’d be a useful addition but your best bet is probably to suggest it to staff once support opens in a couple of hours; staff keep track of suggestions and if enough people request it, they’ll have a look. Most of us are just volunteers in the forums, so contacting staff directly would be the best way to go. Hope that helps.

  Theoretically you can embed any kind of video by means of the vodpod browser extension: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=14519&replies=1&page
  (didn’t try it out yet, though)
