Ability to host ads

Is there any chance of WordPress.com supporting ad scripts at some point? I could use the extra revenue but I really don’t want to relocate my blog to WordPress.org for many reasons.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Only staff can answer that for sure, and I’d bet they won’t give you a definitive answer. Still, it’s pretty much unlikely since they’ve offered the AdControl update. Remember, they’re here to make the blogging platform for personal blogging. They’re not here to make you money.

I definitely understand that it’s not their responsibility to help me make money. Honestly I never even thought of the possibility until I saw several of my blogger friends begin to offer ads. Had I initially considered it I would have researched my site hosting options. I write a food blog so the extra money would just go to ingredients. I’m holding out hope because I’ve hosted my site with wordpress.com for a few years and I love it.

I looked up AdControl and it seems pretty useless for my purposes, but I believe you’re right after reading about it. Thanks so much for responding. I’ll just keep buying my ingredients for now!

So, sorry – am i right in thinking that wordpress blogs can’t host nuffnang or any other kind of ads at all? I’m quite new to this and don’t really get it! Thanks!

http://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/If you require advertising, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on advertising if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.
