Ability to upload flash

  Yeah, well, you can upload images, sounds and such, but you can’t upload flash (.swf) files. This could be really good, so what does you guys think about this?

  I’d love to be able to download .swf files and other movie files. WordPress says that allowing such uploads would cause a security issue. I personally think that WordPress will have to review this at one point in time because right now – this is a frustration for myself, and others as well, I am sure. I’m currently looking at other Blog Providers to see if they allow the download of movie files. If anyone knows of such provider – please let me know

  You can embed flash via the Vodpod widget or button right now.

  I want to embed inside posts. I’ve started an actionscript tutorial site and it would be nice to embed examples inside the posts.

  Flash might make a security issue, but the risk that it will be dangerous is minimal….

  Using the Vodpod button lets you put them right in the post.
