abnormal level of traffic

  At the moment I receive 20 visitors and views on average every day.

  On May 17 2015, I received 1825 views. I believe they all came from Thailand. I marked the views as Spam but my stats still reflect this abnormal number. I’m thinking it was some sort of glitch. In the worst case, an attack.

  Can you remove these stats from your database so I have a better picture of my blogs stats please?

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately, we cannot remove past hits from your site’s stats.

  While marking that referrer as spam will keep them from appearing in your stats in the future, there simply isn’t a way I can erase the past, so to speak.

  Well my stats screen for days looks a bit like this…

  How is the data stored by which the stats are calculated?
  I assume you monitor traffic to each of the wordpress blogs and this traffic is stored on a file somewhere?

  Perhaps the stats are collated by reading all the days hits and reporting on them. Can you set a filter on the accounting which removes hits marked off as spam?

  Can you delete a series of entries in the record of a days traffic?

  As Robyn mentioned, there isn’t a way for us to filter the stats for your site, but I can promise your site is still secure. Once that one day falls off your recent stats view, your bar graph will return to normal.
