    I have posted a ‘new post’ under about (not sure how I did it :/) and would like to move it to to the main page but don’t seem to be able too. Can anybody please advise me on how to go about this?

    The tabs under your header image are links to static pages, not posts – see here for their differences:

    Go to Pages > Edit, hover under title, click Edit, switch the editor to HTML, copy content; then go to Posts > Add New (that’s what you should use for your posts!), switch to HTML, paste content. Do that for both of the pages you’ve got now, then delete them.

    Note that in the Publish module of the post editor you can change the dates of the posts.

    You get there via Pages > Add New or

    thanks that has solved that problem – but now I have another one with same post :/
    Can I move the gallery attached to the first post to the new location or do I have to upload the photos again?

    Oh sorry, didn’t think of the gallery! You can move a gallery, but only if you don’t delete the post or page it’s originally associated with. Now I’m afraid you’ll have to upload the images again in the new post. Sorry!
