About a URL

  Hello there everybody and – if here they are – hello WordPress staff.

  Here I am, another blogger who got used with the versatile way to post that WordPress offers to us, another one who can’t post anywhere else but in WordPress dashboard.

  And now I’m trying to create a new blog, which I’ll call “Take it Easy” :)

  Thing is: the url http://takeiteasy.wordpress.com is taken already, but the owner do not use it anymore, so I was wondering, is there a way to claim the url to me? I can’t contact the owner of the blog, that’s why I’m here seeking for help.

  Contact staff directly and see if they will forward an email to the blog owner and see if they will transfer it to you. WordPress does not delete, or make available blogs that have not been used in a long time or appear abandoned, and blogs that have been deleted are gone forever. They do not recycle blog names.

  By the way did you try to leave a comment on the blog asking the blog owner to contact you? Sometimes that works if they get the email notification that a comment has been left.

  But it’s probably a whole lot quicker and easier to just choose a different url.

  I left a comment in the blog, but the only way that the blog owner will read it if he receives a e-mail, a notification of my comment. I’ll try to contact the staff then.

  And I tried another url, “tie.wordpress.com”, but no names with less than four lethers is allowed.
