  The text in the “About” box has disappeared from underneath my cover photo. Now there is just a narrow band, but no words. Where in the dashboard settings do I find the place to enter something in this space so it shows text?

  Hi there, the black strip is where your menu will appear once you’ve published at least one page. It looks like your About page is currently in the trash, and since you haven’t yet published any other pages, that strip is currently empty. As soon as you publish at least one, it’ll show up in the menu bar.
