About blog deletion

    So my blog was deleted over a year ago due to an unknown admin without my knowledge. I had recieved no email on the blog being deleted or anything about it so I made a help complaint in the forums. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/help-blog-got-deleted-without-consent/ You have stated you can’t recover the blog, even though it has likely been less than 1 month since that was posted. I have decided to make a test on a dummy blog if it would send a deletion email. https://i.imgur.com/lUibHTL.png It did. Why have I never gained a notiflication on undo-ing the deletion, even though I was owner. It makes no sense to hinge on the fact that I promoted a user to admin multiple years ago and the user (inwhich never stated who it was) decided to delete the blog after a completely unrelated post on another blog.

    Also, even if I do not have the data, I still have all the posts spread across multiple emails over 2 years https://i.imgur.com/DZUo06I.png. If I want to create the data, I would.

    I do not understand the policy of ‘deletion never comes back’ if it was on the part of one anonymous user in the staff team who was promoted over half a decade ago, never notified the owner in any way, and done to a blog that had no real post in over a year.

    TL;DR Please try recovering the blog if you could, there was literally no notification on it and all i have is 2 webarchive pages and a bunch of scattered emails

    Hi there,

    At the time you had posted that thread last year it was not possible to restore a deleted site, so the information you were given there was correct.

    Both the ability to restore a deleted site for 30 days after deletion and the notification email when a site is deleted were introduced in May 2018. This does not change anything regarding sites that were deleted before that, and it is not possible to restore your site that was deleted over a year ago.
