About breaking up Links boxes so I can place them at various spots in my sidebar
-
I am using ”Misty Look.”
I made a links category with Hits and my other three sites. Then last night I made a long list of links titled “News and Opinion.“ I wanted to put those News and Opinion links at the bottom of the sidebar, but as it turns out, it seems glues forever to the original Links at the TOP my sidebar.
I noticed that once I added the Links file from the options to the Sidebar, there were no more Links options to use, as there are with the Text options, which are plentiful.
Is there a trick to getting different links at different places in the sidebar?
Thank you.

No, I don’t think you can do that in WP.com. Check out this FAQ for more info:

You can remove a category and its links, and write them in a text widget.
Personally, I’d do that for the “Other Sites”, not the “News”, then move text widget to top and links widget to bottom (because top is not the most reasonable place for Sitemeter).

@panaghiotisadam thanks so much for that tip. I had been trying to link up to the text in my ‘text widget’ and can only get the top item to link to a url all the others fail. I didn’t even think about installing them in the link widget and then moving them.
