When you add or edit a link in your blogroll, there’s a field to add in an image URL. Add it there.

Check the URL for the image. You have HTML code in there. What you need is just the URL of the image.
Should look something like the following:
http://a.wordpress.com/avatar/fireemblemblog-48.jpgThat’s all you put into that field.
edit: That’s the URL for your avatar just for reference.

You have to find the picture somewhere online, then click on it, right click and choose Properties. In there you will find the URL. Copy it and that’s what you use.

The image for the third one, The Sealed Sword, isn’t coming up although it does if you copy it over into your browser’s URL bar. They may have some form of hotlinking prevention in place.
http://fireemblem.pandela.net/fe_code02.gifYou may want to save a copy of the image to your desktop and upload it directly into your wp.com space. After you do so, if you visit Dashboard -> manage -> Uploads and click on the image, it shoudl give you the URL for you to use for it.
