About Changing My URL

    Hello,

    I currently run a blog on WordPress and it is my first time using this site. I created my first blog under the title let’s say ‘Title 1’ and had difficulties trying to solve numerous issues regarding the design of my blog. I decided to completely delete it and then create a new blog under the same title however WordPress won’t let me use my Title 1. Can I use it anytime later? When I try to visit the older link it says the owners have deleted this site, I did delete it but I want to use the same URL.

    You should check this page – https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

    It’s about recycling blog names. A quote from that page –

    For the most part, we cannot recycle or reassign site addresses (URLs) which may appear to be abandoned. We respect bloggers’ ownership of their content and therefore will not move or delete a site without its owners consent — no matter how long it has been since their last update.

    Sites already deleted by their authors two or more years ago may become available again, if they present no username or other technical conflicts. Do you see a deleted site with an address you would like to have? You can try registering a new site with that address here. If it is available, it will be yours.

    Hello omkarbhagat,

    So you’re saying there is no way I can reuse that link for the next two years? I tried doing what the site you linked recommended but I don’t believe it’s available since it didn’t appear on the list.
