about domain

  i choose xxx.xxx.wordpress.com as my domain, however, it change to xxxdotxxx.wordpress.com before i pay the payment. is that normal or something wrong ?

  Hi tguideofficial,

  Unless you purchase a domain name like: example.com you would be using the free WordPress.com domain which will always be your site name followed by wordpress.com. I would suggest purchasing a domain name of your choice. All plans starting with the Blogger plan will come with a free domain for a year!

  Hi there,

  Addresses like xxx.xxx.wordpress.com are not possible.

  If you search for a domain like “domain.com” on the domains page, it would create a free address like “domaindotcom.wordpress.com” as the free address.

  If you only search for a single word, like “myawesomesite”, it will suggest a free address like “myawesomesite.wordpress.com”, sometimes adding random numbers or letters at the end if the exact match is not available.
