About Getting Data from Rest API Methods (Paid Plan vs Free blog)

So I bought the ‘creator plan’ for one of my blogs and now I can retrieve information like my posts in an external application of mine. It seems like it should be possible for free WP blogs too, and in theory I can get the same data via an API call. But in the end, it doesn’t display the posts like it does when I do it with my ‘creator plan’ blog. Could anyone confirm if this is actually the case? Or should I also be able to display posts from a blog that doesn’t have a paid plan?

    Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out. While we can’t provide support for the WordPress.com REST API in our free support forums, we can certainly guide you in the right direction.

To begin, I recommend reviewing the available endpoints outlined here: https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/api/

Next, ensure that you’re using the proper authentication for the site in question. The plan level should not affect access via the REST API.

If you encounter any further difficulties, don’t hesitate to seek support from the Developer support page.

I hope this information proves helpful! Let us know if you have any other questions or need additional assistance.
