“About” has disappeared

When I customized my sidebar with widgets “About” disappeared. This make sense because I’ve created a custom sidebar, but I want an About.
Is Meebo or another of these cryptic names I don’t recognize really About? Earlier someone explained that “Links” is really “Blogroll” http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/6107/nonamebb5.gif

Do you mean that you had a separate About page that disappeared? Or do you mean the default theme had a small About profile in the sidebar which was eliminated when you equipped your sidebar with widgets? If it’s yes to the second question then that’s how the theme works. You’ll have to create either an About page or a text widget that functions the same way to achieve the same end.
Meebo is a widget that enables the web messenger that lets you access Internet Messenging from absolutely anywhere. meebo supports msn, yahoo, aol/aim, google talk (gtalk), jabber and icq.

I’m not sure. I think what I had in the sidebar was the word “About” that formed a link to a page that contained the About text.
If it’s yes to the second question then that’s how the theme works. You’ll have to create either an About page or a text widget that functions the same way to achieve the same end.
I assumed using widgets had eliminated the theme’s sidebar, I just thought About was such a ubiquitous feature there would be a widget for it.

The same thing happened to me. I had to create a new About Page (Page, not Post), and then manually add the Page widget onto the sidebar thingy. It then showed up automatically.
