“About” image on main page

My “About” page image isn’t showing up on the main page of several design options. Is this impossible, or is there something I can do to make it visible?

I have a WordPress.com blog, is that what you mean? However my web site is hosted elsewhere. May I still use these forums, or should I be hosting my web site here as well? Any help you could lend would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Morris108. I am very confused. After reading posting rules and WordPress features, I don’t see any option of hosting a web site here. But I do seem to fulfill the requirement to have a blog with “wordpress.com” in the URL. If I am doing something wrong by asking questions here, could someone help me understand protocol? Is there a membership fee or something I’m just not seeing yet? Many thanks in advance.

I’ve answered you in the other thread, but just to reiterate, you’re fine to ask questions here. It’s just that a lot of WP.org users come to these forums and we really can’t help them because the software is all different. Since your username doesn’t link to a WP.com blog, it’s hard for us to know whether we can give you helpful advice or not – that’s why all the questions.

Thanks again rosclarke — now I’ve got it! Do you have any ideas for getting the “about” page image to load onto the main blog page? I love the Misty template you suggested, and wonder if it’s possible with that one. Again many thanks.

I don’t think I’m understanding your question. The Mistylook template has an About tab at the top of the page – I can see it on your blog. Isn’t that what you wanted?

The tab is there – I think f4g wants the image on the front page. That means you need to put the image and text into a text widget. You can see my blog for an example.
