about making comments etc., 'likes'…?

    I am completely new to blogging, I viewed a great article on a cartoonist and tried to make a comment, a prompt line came up…….’awaiting moderation ‘ I tried to make a comment shorter and longer and took out any personal content, but it still came up with the same prompt…’awaiting moderation’and after four attempts, and even included ‘four likes’ in the comment itself, which still didn’t work….. I understand people say ,
    ‘All things in moderation!’ but what does the term ‘awaiting moderation’ mean in a blogging context, sorry, …I’m wearing my green shirt!

    Hi there,
    WordPress lets blog owners determine the comment moderation levels in their blogs. This means that it’s up to the blog owner whether he/she wants to approve your comment and make it public. Blog owners can also specify blacklist words that would put your comment as spam.
    I suggest you comment only once and wait for the blog owners approval, if you make the same comment several times, the blog owner could consider it as spam and may block it.
