about me as static page

I am trying to make my About me page a static page that shows up as soon as you type in my blog address… I’ve read a little bit about widgets or something? Ugh, totally beginner! Lol. I thought I went into a section called customize and thought I was able to add ‘about me’ page as a ‘static page,’ but it still doesn’t show up on the first page. Thanks for your help!!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello, to make your About me page the front page, go to the Customize section again here: https://beyondcoconuts.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php.

Select Static Front Page and under Front page displays, select “A static page”. This will show 2 more options. Under Front page, select your About me page and then click Save & Publish. You can also select your Posts page also known as Blog page there.

Thanks for getting back! I had seen that option, but I decided that I wanted my about me section on the sidebar, and couldn’t figure out how. I ended up creating a widget and now it appears as a link when you go to the main menu (which in the cubic theme is a weird three dash line thing on the upper right). I hope it works though! Thanks for getting back…. I definitely am learning a lot of new things writing a blog! :) Cheers

I do see your About me page so it’s working perfectly.

Same here! I haven’t stopped learning new things about blogging since I started 5 years ago. Just keep blogging, practicing and never give up. We’re here for you in the forums if you need us.
